Welcome to the official website of San Diego Transit Month 2025! While this event isn't new to our friends in the Bay Area, this year marks the first ever Transit Month across the San Diego region, and we couldn't be more excited. We've been working hard behind the scenes to create a slate of events that reflects the depth and diversity of transit services and experiences across our great region, and now it's time to ride. An activity similar to the Bay Area's signature Ride Contest will be part of our celebration, alongside talks, day trips, and ride-alongs with a variety of community partners.

As one-time transit funds expire, MTS is rapidly facing a crossroads - one where we, as San Diegans, need to make a decision: do we invest in transit or do we start the death spiral? This crossroads makes it all the more important to prove how important public transit is to the strength and economic vitality of our region, that people ride transit to work, school, and fun every day, and that transit riders are valued and supported. We can't think of a better way to do this than by dedicating a month to celebrating the wide world of SoCal's public transit and all those who use it. I think I speak for all our Transit Month team members, at BuildSD and across the region, when I say "All aboard!"
