LOSSAN Beach Day

Did you know you can take the train straight to the beach? Grab your sandals, your swimsuit, your beach towel, and your $10 Metrolink SoCal Weekend Day Pass and join Californians for Electric Rail in celebrating the end of summer (and Transit Month) as we go from Oceanside or Irvine to San Clemente on September 28th.

On the trip we’ll also talk about the Metrolink investments needed to make transportation better in South OC and throughout the region - this car-free beach access (and the connection between California’s two largest cities) is at risk because of climate change and failing infrastructure.

The San Diego Transit Month group will leave Oceanside at promptly 11:24 AM on Metrolink train 1663, which arrives at San Clemente Pier at 11:52 AM. From there, we'll wait for the CER group to arrive from Irvine, have lunch in San Clemente, and hit the beach! We anticipate taking return train 1664 at 3:41 PM, which arrives in Oceanside at 4:08 PM.
